With the show’s premiere just a few days away, My Hero Academia Season 6 is confirmed to have a consecutive 2-cour release, which means its episode count and release schedule will likely be similar to the previous seasons.

The news of its 2-cour release was revealed recently in a report by Comic Natalie. This announcement was accompanied by the release of a new TV commercial which was then followed by the release of a visual featuring Shoto Todoroki.

Todoroki, along with the rest of the Class 1-A heroes, will play a big role in the upcoming season, so it’s no surprise that he got a new visual ahead of the season’s release. Plus, villains Shigaraki and Dabi also got new visuals recently.

My Hero Academia is an anime series by Bones that’s based on the manga of the same name by Kohei Horikoshi.

The manga started serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, and it has since become one of Shonen Jump’s biggest hits, with the series having over 65 million copies in circulation as of January 2022.

As for the anime, it began with a 13-episode first season. Thanks to its success, the first season was followed up by more seasons, all of which were consecutive 2-cour releases with 25 episodes each.

The upcoming season adapts the Paranormal Liberation War Arc of the manga.

It is considered by fans to be one of the most significant in the series as it features a large-scale war between the heroes and villains.

Given that the previous four seasons had similar 2-cour release schedules and 25 episodes, it’s highly likely that My Hero Academia Season 6 will also have 25 episodes.

With this number of episodes, the anime should be able to cover the whole of the Paranormal Liberation War Arc.

In case you’re unfamiliar with anime season terminology, a cour in anime refers to one season that’s 11-13 episodes long. This means a 2-cour show will run for two seasons and will have 24-26 episodes.

My Hero Academia Season 6 will premiere in Japan on October 1, 2022, with a Crunchyroll release confirmed shortly after each episode airs in Japan.
