One of the most interesting things Okamoto mentioned was his thoughts on Bakugo’s power.

While he is one of the most powerful in Class 1-A, Okamoto said that he felt Bakugo is not that strong around the fourth season.

While Okamoto did not downplay Bakugo’s ability, he did wonder about how Bakugo will fare against the stronger villains, especially given the events in the manga that have yet to be adapted.

Okamoto didn’t specifically mention an event from the manga, but he did say how many interesting developments regarding Bakugo are coming soon in the anime.

Aside from talking about Bakugo, Okamoto highlighted three characters that he considers his favorites in the season. These include Mirko, Twice, and Eraserhead.

Rumi Usagiyama aka Mirko is the No. 5 Pro Hero. While she was introduced in the previous season, she hasn’t really appeared much.

However, that won’t be the case in Season 6 as Mirko plays a big role in the Paranormal Liberation War.

Given her big role in the coming story arc, Okamoto believes that Mirko’s stock will rise in the next season.

He also shared that series creator Kohei Horikoshi likes Mirko a lot as well.

Next is Twice, a villain who gets the spotlight in the upcoming arc. His story was explored in the previous season and will continue to be in the next one.

Okamoto was touched by his story enough that he was supporting Twice while reading the manga.

Finally, there’s Shota Aizawa aka Eraserhead. He has always been a key character in the series thanks to his powerful Quirk erasure ability.

In the upcoming war, he will once again be pivotal, making him one of Okamoto’s favorites.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 1 will air in Japan on October 1, 2022, and each episode will be released every Saturday thereafter.

After their broadcast, Crunchyroll will stream each episode in select regions.
