It's no secret to a lot of people that 2019's Captain Marvel is one of the most divisive Marvel Cinematic Universe films to date and despite becoming a box office juggernaut, the Brie Larson-led superhero film has been the subject of discussion amongst fans. Some say Brie's portrayal of Carol Danvers was unlike the character's comic book counterpart while others thought the film was poorly written.

Well, it turns out that even MCU newcomer Iman Vellani who is set to star in Ms. Marvel thought the film was awful, so much so that when she wrote a film review for it, she only gave it two stars. Last year, fans unearthed the Kamala Khan actress' Letterboxd account where she would occasionally drop ratings of the films she has watched.

She didn't exactly go into detail regarding the things she didn't like about the film but in what can be best described as a hilarious review, Vellani clarified that her two-star rating has nothing to do with her The Marvels co-star and if anything, she's willing to "sacrifice my own life" for the MCU star. The said review was posted long before she was cast in the MCU. Check it out here:

Well, at least Iman had the guts to admit that she didn't find Captain Marvel interesting enough to be given a 5-star review. I wonder how Marvel Studios reacted to it though when they found out?

Ms. Marvel will begin streaming on Disney+ on June 8, 2022.
