Ms. Marvel Episode 1 was a blast! From a regular 16-year-old Muslim Pakistani-American teenager who loves her heroes so much that she wears t-shirts with their characters on,her grandmother sent a package with a band that would change her whole life. It gave her powers like her idols but as soon as the responsibilities kick in, Kamala never imagined what is to come her way.

The band seems to be a Nega-band, an ancient relic that came from the Kree Empire and whosoever wears it gains powers like energy manipulation and super strength. Later in the trailer, Kamala gets to manipulate energy and use it to her liking such as shooting energy blasts and even creating steps midair.

One thing is for sure, the Inhumans are not arriving in the MCU in the near future. In the comics, Kamala Khan is an Inhuman who transformed when the Terrigen Mist was released by Black Bolt to Earth. After she transformed through terrigenesis, she could extend her limbs to her will, change her physical appearance, and she could even shapeshift.

Kamala Khan, in the comics, has the superhuman ability to alter her shape and size which perfectly fits her personality.

As seen in the trailer, her powers seem to be altered to fit into the current narrative of the MCU, possibly preparing her for her team up with Captain Marvel in the upcoming sequel of the heroine, The Marvels, where they would be joined by Monica Rambeau who got her powers in WandaVision after passing through the hex of Wanda in Westview.

Iman Vellani plays Ms. Marvel/ Kamala Khan and is joined by Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha, and Laura Marsden. Reportedly, they would also be joined by Farhan Akhtar as well.

Ms. Marvel Episode 1 is currently streaming, exclusively on Disney Plus.
