Mortal Kombat 11 Story DLC Announcement Seemingly Confirmed for Tomorrow

Mortal Kombat 11 has released all six of its DLC characters and has had many fans wondering what would be next for this franchise. A number of us thought that they would continue this game's story with the inevitable Mortal Kombat 12 but it looks like that isn't the case since NetherRealm Studios has released a teaser trailer that hints at some new story DLC coming to the game.

When are we going to see more details about the supposed Mortal Kombat 11 Story DLC? According to the teaser trailer, we'll be seeing more information on this possible expansion tomorrow on May 6. That's huge news and we can't wait to see what is going to happen next in this crazy story, which already involves freaking time travel and plenty of gore.

NetherRealm Studios has become well-known for having some of the best story modes in modern gaming. Mortal Kombat (2011), Mortal Kombat X, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Injustice 2 proved that this company can get you to fall in love with their characters, showing that they aren't just pretty faces that do cool moves.

It's honestly pretty shocking to see a fighting game come with story DLC since that almost never happens. The only time we can think of fighting games having story DLC is when Bandai Namco added some additional stories to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and 4. This is a first for NetherRealm who only seem to release DLC characters, like most fighting game developers.

Mortal Kombat 11 is now available, with the story DLC likely getting announced tomorrow.
