Mortal Kombat 11: Nightwolf Unleashed in New Gameplay Trailer

He may have skipped out Mortal Kombat X, but Nightwolf is coming as DLC for Mortal Kombat 11. As promised a new gameplay trailer has dropped for Nightwolf, and you get to see him in action complete with spirit animals and glowing weapons.

Born as Grey Cloud, Nightwolf is a proud and fierce warrior dedicated to the cause of good and chosen by the Great Spirit to become the Matoka tribe's champion and protector.

When you look at it, Nightwolf comes with all his classic moves from the franchise, including his skills to summon thunder as well as conjure up green weapons. And though Nightwolf can channel a wolf in past games, it looks like they're adding more to his spirit animals with this update.

If anything, Nightwolf has a very solid spot in gaming, in which he's one of the most prolific Native American characters to be made. Not even Street Fighter's Thunder Hawk can top this guy when it comes to recognition.

Nightwolf is one of several classic characters coming to MK 11 as DLC. The first to come to the game was Shang Tsung, and players can look forward to the likes of Sindel, Sheeva, and Fujin soon. And though they're not classic MK characters, we're also going to be getting the likes of Spawn, Ash from Evil Dead, and the T-800 from Terminator.

Nightwolf becomes available for Early Access on Aug. 13. Mortal Kombat 11 is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
