The mecha anime series is from the popular Mobile Suit Gundam franchise.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is set in A.S. (Ad Stella) 122, an era when several corporations entered space to establish a giant economic system.
The series follows a lone girl named Suletta Mercury who is from the remote planet, Mercury. She has been transferred to the Asticassia School of Technology, which is run by the Beneritt Group.
The Beneritt Group controls the mobile suit industry. Meanwhile, Suletta appears timid and struggles in the communication skills department.
However, a scarlet light burns in her pure heart as she advances in this new world as a pilot of the Gundam Aerial.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is the first series from the franchise since the airing of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans in October 2015.
The anime series is based on the original concept by Yoshiyuki Tomino and Hajime Yatate. The original character design is credited to Mogumo.
