Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 just got an awesome panel at Anime Expo 2022 and although we didn't get a new trailer or release date, attendees were treated to the new opening theme performed by Mob Choir. In addition to that, a new key visual for the anime's third season has been dropped!
The Mob Psycho 100 panel at Anime Expo 2022 took place on Sunday, July 3, 2022, and attendees got to be the first to see the key visual for Season 3 after successfully playing some games with the host and panelists. The new key visual was illustrated by Yoshimichi Kameda and features Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama in an ominous light.
The key visual isn't the only thing that panel attendees got to experience for the first time. During a special video, Takahiro Sakurai (Reigen) and Setsuo Ito (Mob) announced that the attendees will be the first to see the new opening sequence featuring the new opening theme 1 by Mob Choir.
For now, the opening sequence for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 has not yet been officially released, as Nari Takamura of Warner Bros. Japan revealed that the opening was just completed earlier on Sunday (via Anime News Network). In addition to that, Takamura stated that Mob Choir will be performing more songs for the third season.
Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 will bring back Setsuo Ito as Mob, Takahiro Sakurai as Arataka Reigen, Akio Ohtsuka as Ekubo, Miyu Irino as Ritsu Kageyama, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Teruki Hanazawa. They will be joined by Takanori Hoshino as Serizawa, Atsumi Tanezaki as Tome Kurata, Uki Satake as Tsubomi, Ayumi Fujimura as Ichi Mezato, Toshihiko Seki as Musashi Goda, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Tenga Onigawara.
The third season of Mob Psycho 100 has not yet been given an official release date. However, Season 3 is already set to be simulcast on Crunchyroll in October 2022. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
