Stranger Things Season 4 takes place after the explosive final battle of the previous season, which saw the destruction of a covert Russian base in Hawkin's mall, that opened a portal to the upside-down and unfortunately caused police chief Hopper's death. Thankfully, the earlier teaser confirmed that Hopper is still alive and was spotted in mysterious imprisonment in a Russian Labor camp in Kamchatka.

In a new interview with Screenrant, Eleven actor Millie Bobby Brown shared a tiny detail about her character's development in the upcoming season. Brown says that her character is in the darkest state she's ever been" and how it's "the hardest season" that the actress ever filmed for the franchise. Brown explained:

“I read the script and I see Finn and some of the other characters having such a fun time, and you get to see Eleven in the darkest state she’s ever been [in]. This is definitely the hardest season I’ve ever filmed and there have been some of the scariest things I’ve ever seen as a human, which you guys will get to see and I’ll get to tell more stories and touch on my experiences as a person filming on the set with these legitimate scary things."

Based on Brown's statement, looks like Eleven will have a much harder life compared to the previous seasons. As seen in the latest trailer, Eleven was spotted navigating her way through high school, and as revealed in the final scene, we saw a glimpse of the final season's mysterious creature, with the name Vecna, which might be Eleven's biggest conflict.

Helmed by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things Season 4 will follow the Hawkins crew in their new adventures as high school students, and how they will unravel all the supernatural mysteries from the upside-down.

Stranger Things Season 4 Part 1 will hit Netflix, on May 27.
