Microsoft Announces Xbox Series X Games Showcase for This Month

Next-gen consoles are a big topic for conversation these days and there are plenty of people excited to see what Microsoft does for the Xbox Series X. While the company has managed to please fans with the Xbox One, thanks to backward-compatibility with Xbox 360 games and the glorious Xbox Games Pass, many agree that it just can't compete against the PS4. Well, Microsoft has announced an Xbox Series X games showcase for later this month and it will be interesting to see how it competes with the recent PS5 event.

After a number of reports circled the internet for weeks on end, Microsoft confirmed that they would be having an Xbox Series X showcase later this month on July 23. Much like the PS5 showcase, it will likely have some first-party games and third-party entries so this could be a show that Sony and Nintendo fanboys should check out. Either way, it'll be worth watching.

Likely games we'll be seeing during the event include Halo Infinite, the next installment in this popular franchise that will be cross-gen for Xbox One and Xbox Series X, and Psychonauts 2, which will still be coming out on PS4. We're sure that the company will have a number of big games up their sleeves, which they sorely need if they want some traction for the next-gen.

The Xbox Series X gaming showcase will be shown later this on, July 23. As for the console itself, Microsoft announced that the Xbox Series X would be coming out on holiday 2020.
