Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in the United Kingdom. The Duchess of Sussex delivered the keynote address at the One Young World Summit in Manchester Monday. Several royal experts weighed in on her address, and they were not impressed.
Meghan Markle Reportedly Makes One Young World Keynote Address All About Her
The Duchess of Sussex was in great spirits when she faced the attendees at the summit. She looked stunning in her red jumpsuit and sleek ponytail.
In her speech, she recounted the time she joined the organisation. Prince Harry's wife has served as one of its counselors since 2014.
While she spoke eloquently, several royal experts were not impressed with her address.
Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, didn't understand why the audience was so impressed with what they heard from the duchess.
"I can't visualise or comprehend how the 2,000 young people understood a word of what she was talking about," Seward told The Sun. "It made no sense. It was all about her and related everything to herself. I don't think she knew what she was talking about. It was just 'me, me, me' and praising herself."
According to Mail Online, Markle referenced herself 54 times during her speech.
Royal author Phil Dampier echoed the same sentiment. According to him, yes, the speech was all about the former Suits star.
"The speech was really about her," Dampier told Mail Online. "She was using it as a platform to talk about herself and her past involvement with the organisation but it didn't tell the audience anything practical in terms of advice to fulfill their potential."

Meghan Markle Has Political Ambitions? Keynote Speech Reportedly Gives The Said Vibes
Robert Jobson, author of William at 40: The Making of a Modern Monarch, also shared his thoughts about Markle's speech. According to Jobson, the speech made him feel that Markle has a "political agenda long term." He speculated that the duchess is trying to prepare for a political career "maybe in Congress or the Senate."
"But to do that I think she must ditch the royal 'duchess' title that is linked to a system and a family she appears to despise," he added. "If she did that it might placate some people in the UK who feel both Harry and Meghan should be stripped of their royal title. But as they use their links with royalty to promote themselves, I doubt she and her princely born husband will ever do that."

An anonymous source told Closer that Prince Harry was supportive of Markle's political ambition. The duchess' husband is reportedly open and happy about the idea of being the first gentleman suggesting that Markle might run for president.
"With all this speculation around her political career ambitions, everyone thinks Harry would be happy at the idea of being First Gentleman if she accomplishes her long-term goal," the source said.
