Meghan Markle Will Have Tiara Moment At King Charles' Coronation?

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed to have received an official invitation to His Majesty's coronation. However, they haven't confirmed their attendance.

Royal correspondent and commentator Kinsey Schofield was convinced that the Sussexes would not miss the event. The To Di For Daily podcast host also speculated that the royal couple, who are based in California, are already itching to show their faces on King Charles' special day.

"I think that they are both going to come because Meghan wants that tiara moment."

She added:

"It has been a long time since she got to wear something sparkly and they need to remind the world that they are associated with the Royal Family. Because as you know, that is their businesses, that has become their sole brand."

Prince Harry and Markle have been accused of cashing in on the royal family. They targeted the monarchy and the British royals in their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and in his memoir Spare.

Will Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Attend King Charles' Coronation?

There are mixed opinions about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's attendance at King Charles' coronation. Schofield and royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams both shared their perspectives about the matter with TIME magazine.

According to Schofield, their attendance at King Charles' coronation would send a message of unity amid their family drama, so it's a "win-win" reason for them to show up.

Schofield said:

"The King doesn't have the stain of an absent child in the history books and Harry maintains that royal connection that has proven to be so lucrative for him in the states."

Fitzwilliams added that they should not miss it because the coronation is a very big event.

He said:

"The scale of interest in the coronation worldwide is such that they simply could not possibly overshadow such a huge event which has so much significance for Britain and the Commonwealth."

However, they also believed that the Sussexes would not have the best spot during the coronation, especially after the things they did against the royals. Schofield predicted that they would be "iced out."

She shared her predictions:

"We will likely not see them engaging with the most prominent senior royals, especially the individuals that took hits in Spare. They would sit a few rows back, be spotted in the windows of the palace during the processions, and likely not invited to all of the celebratory events."

Fitzwilliams echoed the same sentiment, adding that any conversation between the royals and Sussexes would be small talk due to the lack of trust. He added:

"No one in the royal family will trust them and say anything substantial to them for fear of it being leaked."
