Tyler Perry Witnesses How 'Princess' Meghan Markle Endures Hardships
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are good friends with the A Madea Family Funeral star. When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the United States, before they purchased their $14 million mansion in Montecito, the royal couple lived in Perry's home in Los Angeles.
Perry gushed over Markle's strength in his birthday tribute for the duchess, who celebrated her 41st birthday on Thursday. He took to Twitter and shared a snap of Prince Harry's wife kneeling while kissing a hand of a little girl. It was taken during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's 2019 tour of South Africa.
"I’ve had a front row seat in your life for the past few years. I’ve watched you endure things that would have broken a lot of people. I'm so incredibly proud to see how happy you, your husband, and your kids are now. It fills me with joy to say Happy Birthday Princess Meghan," Perry wrote in the caption.
However, the American actor's thoughtful act received mixed responses from the netizens. While the Sussex fans loved it, the critics disapproved of him calling Markle a princess.
"I'm emotional. Tyler Perry, you housed and protected Prince Harry and Princess Meghan when they were so vulnerable. You were there for their family," a fan wrote. "Sometimes, giving back is as simple as that using whatever resources you have to lift & support others. Happy Birthday Meghan."
"She's not a princess. You need to verify the facts. This woman experiences difficulties telling the truth," another netizen commented. "I know that you, Tyler, are a good Christian man. Do not promote her lies, please."

How Did Meghan Markle, Prince Harry End Up Living In Tyler Perry's Home In 2020
When The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their royal duties, they flew to Canada and stayed there for a couple of weeks before moving to the United States. When they arrived in California, they occupied Perry's $18 million Beverly Hills mansion.
The Hollywood mogul was out of town in Atlanta, setting up to restart production in his studio. A source told Page Six that the Sussexes ended up living in Perry's eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom Tuscan-style villa in the gated Beverly Ridge Estates through their friend Winfrey Oprah.
Oprah was allegedly a guiding force when the Sussexes made the decision to leave the royal family. The media queen is also reportedly close to Markle's mom Doria Ragland.
However, Gayle King, one of Winfrey's closest confidantes, denied that she was involved in how Prince Harry and Markle ended up in Perry's mansion.

"Oprah didn't hook that up," King bluntly told Entertainment Tonight. "Harry and Meghan know people. Tyler knows people. Oprah knows people but she did not make that connection for Harry and Meghan to live in Tyler's house."
King and Winfrey are both close to Prince Harry and Markle. King was among the celebrities who attended Markle's baby shower in New York when she was expecting Archie. Meanwhile, Winfrey was among the celebrity wedding guests at the Sussexes' royal wedding in 2018.
It remains unknown how Markle and Prince Harry ended up in Perry's luxury mansion when they arrived in the U.S. in 2020 following their royal exit. An anonymous source said they were thankful for the Daddy's Little Girls star.
"They're really grateful to Tyler Perry for his kindness," a source close to the couple previously told PEOPLE. "They have endless gratitude to him for helping them during a complicated time."
The source added, "With COVID and as they were stepping back from their royal duties, he provided them a safe haven."
