Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signed a multi-year deal with Spotify over a year ago. But they have only managed to release one episode from their podcast.
Royal fans couldn’t help but wonder why there seems to be a delay, and Prince Harry recently claimed that they have an issue with regard to another podcast host’s anti-vaccine claims.
However, an unnamed source claimed that the pressure to release something on Spotify is proving to be too much to bear for the couple, especially Meghan Markle. As such, she’s going through great lengths to ensure that she can release at least one podcast episode in the coming weeks.
Meghan Markle Wants Tom Holland, Zendaya To Guest On Her Podcast
Woman’s Day, in its Feb. 14 issue, claimed that Markle invited Spider-Man stars Tom Holland and Zendaya to her Montecito home because she wants them to appear on her and Prince Harry’s podcast.
“Tom and Zendaya were rather bemused, from what I hear. Tom had never met Harry or spoken to him in his life. Harry and Meghan are struggling to find the right mix of celebrity and genuine friends, so they’re having to widen the net and approach new people,” the unnamed source said.
However, one should be wary of the publication’s claims because they were unable to provide a reason why Markle allegedly wants Holland and Zendaya to appear on her podcast.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Slammed For Still Working With Spotify Despite Their Complaints
Prince Harry and Markle were also criticized for speaking out against Spotify even if they are getting a lucrative income from the platform.
Royal commentator Neil Sean branded the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as hypocrites following Prince Harry’s statement.
“Legendary singer-songwriters Joni Mitchell and Neil Young have decided to pull their product from the platform simply because they said they don't agree with a certain element of it. It's interesting because you can only really do things like that when you are an international success when you're worth millions of pounds so you can make these grandiose statements,” Sean said.

“What is interesting is there are certain people that truly rely on the income that Spotify does deliver for their brand. Harry and Meghan have released a statement claiming they are staying with Spotify but what is the reason why. So far Spotify has paid Harry and Meghan an installment for these podcasts. If they decide to go out against Spotify, it makes it very difficult for Harry and Meghan because they would have to return that installment,” he added.
In his statement, Prince Harry made it clear that he and his wife will continue working with Spotify. However, they also hope that the platform would screen their content more to provide other people from spreading false claims about COVID-19 and the vaccines.
Royals fans are also waiting for Prince Harry and Markle to release their projects with Netflix months after they also signed a multi-year contract with the company.
