Meghan Markle recently made a surprise appearance at the Ellen Show, and it garnered a slew of mixed reactions from her fans and critics.
Some royal fans were thrilled to see a different side of the Duchess of Sussex, which they had not seen in years, especially after she wed Prince Harry.
On the other hand, some royal fans were also furious with Meghan Markle for humiliating the royal family. Even her estranged dad, Thomas Markle Sr., thinks that his daughter shouldn’t have played a prank on the vendors outside the Ellen Show studio because it was embarrassing.
Meghan Markle Wants To Return To Acting, Hosting
Heat UK, in its Dec. 6 issue, claimed that Markle couldn’t care less about what other people thought of her appearance on the Ellen Show. But her takeaway was that she missed being on television.
An unnamed source claimed that Markle is thinking about headlining her own talk show, and she couldn’t be more excited for the prospect of interviewing other A-listers like her.
“Meghan was rejuvenated by the whole Ellen experience and came home excited about what a dream job it would be for her. The idea of picking whoever she wants to interview, then having plenty of fun while also addressing the topics she cares about, is starting to really appeal – especially as it will boost her popularity and power in Hollywood. From a branding and commercial point of view, it’s a no-brainer, and there’s been a lot of interest from the various networks already,” the unnamed source said.

Meghan Markle Thinks Ellen Show Can Jumpstart Her Acting Career
Even though the Duchess of Sussex also thinks that what she did when she pranked the vendors was quite embarrassing, she also felt that this was the perfect way to get back to her showbiz roots.
Prince Harry’s wife was forced to turn her back on her career as an actress when she and her husband got engaged. Markle also had to take down her lifestyle blog, The Tig. And she was also banned from having her own social media account.
All these are things that Markle reportedly missed. And she’s just ready to get back to her first love: acting.
“If the past few years have taught Meghan anything, it’s to be confident in herself and stay true to her roots and core beliefs. She’s proud of her entertainment background and loves being around fellow celebrities. She knows there is no way she and Harry would have been permitted to sit down with Ellen – or any talk show for that matter – if they were still serving royals, and that’s just plain ridiculous in her view. She still shudders about the awkwardness they were obligated to endure and thanks to her lucky stars she’s home and around like-minded folk in the showbiz capital of the world,” the unnamed source explained.
Meghan Markle Will Continue To Use Her Royal Title
Markle’s talk show will, allegedly, be called Tea With Duchess Meghan, which has links to her 40th birthday appearance alongside comedian Melissa McCarthy.
In the clip, McCarthy hilarious sipped tea while talking to Markle because Britons are known for drinking this daily.
And to those who will accuse Markle of profiting from her royal title, Prince Harry’s wife allegedly has this to say: she doesn’t care.
“Meghan believes she has every right to use her title and it’s the least she deserves after the pain she and Harry went through. If they choose to try to take it away, then so be it, but there’s been no talk of that happening. Harry is very supportive and has told her time and again she should feel proud to call herself a duchess and it’s part of her life journey whether she’s got good memories of the experience or not,” the unnamed source concluded.
Meghan Markle Will Act On Shows For Netflix?
Rumors about Markle returning to her acting roots have been rife for years. And when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a multi-year deal with Netflix, royal fans immediately assumed that this meant Markle will act once again.
When she and her husband quit The Firm last year, royal experts also assumed that Markle would star in different TV shows and even movies. In fact, there were also claims that she could reprise her role as Rachel Zane in Suits, but the series wrapped up before Markle’s Megxit.
However, Prince Harry and Markle also released a statement saying that they won’t be starring on Netflix shows. Instead, the couple will be producing several programs for the streaming platform.

Meghan Markle Serves As An Executive Producer For Pearl
In July, it was announced that Markle would executive-produce the animated series Pearl alongside David Furnish.
Pearl will chronicle the life of a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by influential women in history.
In her statement, Markle expressed her excitement over producing Pearl.
“Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges. I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history,” she said.
According to TV Insider, even though Markle won’t star in the animated series, it seems Pearl has direct connections with her. After all, Meghan means pearl.
“Meghan is a girl’s name meaning ‘pearl’ that is related to the Greek name Margaret and the Welsh name Megan,” they said.
