Meghan Markle is already settled in the United States and she has no plans to return to the United Kingdom two years after she and Prince Harry stepped down from their royal duties, according to a royal biographer.

Meghan Markle Allegedly Feels 'Britain Is A Lost Cause'

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on January 20, 2020, that they were stepping down from their royal duties. The Queen gave Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a year to finalize their decision. The royal couple moved to Canada after carrying out their final royal engagement before they settled in California.

The Duchess of Sussex has not returned to Britain following Megxit. According to royal biographer and expert Tom Bower, Markle has no plans to ever join Prince Harry in his home country because she has no intention of returning there.

"In parallel, Britain is a lost cause for the Sussexes," Bower wrote for The Sun. "In truth, I suspect Meghan no longer cares whether she is welcome in London. She has no intention of returning."

Bower is not the only royal expert who believes that the former Suits star has no intentions of returning to U.K. Royal commentator Robert Jobson, author of Prince Philip’s Century: The Extraordinary Life of the Duke of Edinburgh, shared the same opinion.

"I’m not sure Meghan will ever come to Britain again," Jobson told Us Weekly. "She’s not popular [right] now."

Royal biographer and commentator Angela Levin also believed that the duchess has no plans to reunite with the royal family in their country. Royal biographer Phil Dampier was also convinced that Princ Harry was only using his family's security as an excuse that he could not take them to the U.K., but the real issue was that his wife doesn't want to take the trip with him.

The Duchess of Sussex has not made any public appearances for this year. She even skipped the Super Bowl LVI on Sunday. Prince Harry watched the game with his royal cousin, Princess Eugenie.

"At the moment, Meghan’s ultimate destination is unclear, but she certainly has the backing to make a bid to star as an American politician," Bower said.
