Jonathan Sacerdoti claimed that Meghan Markle is becoming more like an activist than an actual politician after her alleged lobbying recently. The wife of Prince Harry reportedly contacted Republican Senators Susan Collins and Shelley Moore, asking them to support a climate policy and paid parental leave.

Express UK reported it was Democratic Senator Kristen Gillibrand who gave Meghan Markle the contact details of her co-council members. Gillibrand, according to the publication, also said she would be part of a group to work on paid leave.
Sacerdoti stated:
"I think that there's a sense that Meghan has increasing ambitions but maybe more as an activist than as an actual politician. I think that would be a very bold step to go and do that especially if she constantly reminds everyone that she's the Duchess of Sussex. She has every right to use her title but I think involving herself more in politics especially in America, she may want to think carefully about the use of the title and any association between the Royal Family and a political cause like that.”
The royal expert added:
"It is a political cause that many of us might support but regardless, to appear in more political contexts in America, I think would be increasingly challenging for somebody who is still keen to tie themselves to the Royal Family. Of course, that doesn't mean she won't do it."

Sacerdoti is not the only one who commented on Meghan Markle’s alleged lobbying recently. Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich has also lambasted the wife of Prince Harry because of her reported shenanigan despite being unelected.
Fordwich said:
"On the American side of things, we didn't elect Meghan Markle. She's not elected. The Democrat has said there are going to be more phone calls than just those two. She said I gave out more numbers of senators, there may be more phone calls. She added that Meghan Markle is going to be in a group of people working on how long this paid family leave should be. We didn't elect her. Who wants her to be in that position? That's an issue for Americans to decide."
Meghan Markle has yet to comment on Jonathan Sacerdoti and Hilary Fordwich’s statements. While their claims could be true, devoted followers of Prince Harry’s better half should take these reports lightly until everything is proven true and correct.

While the Duchess of Sussex won a legal victory against a British tabloid over the release of a letter she sent to her father, Thomas Markle Sr., in August 2018, there are still a handful of people who think that the British royal family and the media’s relationship is set for another chaotic period.
University College London Professor Robert Hazell told the ABC:
"Both [press and palace] are powerful … but ultimately the palace cannot go on denying access forever. They need the media … they really do. Throughout her long reign, the Queen has mostly maintained "popularity a politician would die for.”
University of Sydney lecturer Cindy McCreery claimed that Queen Elizabeth has been wanting to be seen to be believed since the start of her reign, which explains why she maintains a good relationship with the press. She stated:
"Then, there was a lot of attention and thought put into her coronation and how that would broadcast. The sophistication of the royal family with the press has only increased through her reign."
