Meghan Markle and Prince Harry met in London through a common friend six years ago. After going out on a date, the couple immediately planned the second time that they would meet. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed the first six months of their relationship in private until it was leaked by the British tabloids.
Over a year later, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement. And in 2018, they tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Even though the couple seemed like a match made in heaven at the time, not everyone was on board with them tying the knot shortly after they met.
It was previously revealed that Prince Harry and Prince William had a falling out after the latter voiced his concerns about his younger brother’s relationship with Markle. The Duke of Cambridge didn’t think it was right for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to tie the knot because they barely knew each other.
Meghan Markle’s Friend Warned Her Against Dating Prince Harry
Now, it has been confirmed that someone from Markle’s side also had reservations regarding her relationship with Prince Harry. And this was detailed in Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s book, Finding Freedom.
“Ever since the couple’s trip to Africa, their romance had been on a fast track. Technically the getaway was just their third date but by then, they were each already dancing around the idea that this just may be a forever thing. For Meghan, she was all in. Nothing could get her to slow down, not even a friend who cautioned her about getting involved with Harry. ‘They hate royal wives and girlfriends. They will come after you. Look at Diana,’” Markle’s friend told the authors (via Express).
