Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Competing With Prince William And Kate Middleton?
According to a new report from Heat magazine, Prince Harry and Markle "want to be even richer than Kate and Wills." The Prince and Princess of Wales have become billionaires after inheriting the Duchy of Cornwall following Queen Elizabeth's death on Sept. 8.
An insider told the outlet that the Sussexes are seemingly competing with the Cambridges in terms of their finances.
"Meghan and Harry firmly believe they're stars in their own rights and that they'd continue to pull in the big bucks even without using their royal ties or titles," a source told the outlet.
"But, for Harry, it's his birthright and for Meghan, it's a no-brainer to refer to herself as a duchess, which sounds hugely impressive to the people they're working with. If they become even richer than their rivals, including William and Kate, it would be the ultimate icing on the cake."
Meghan Markle Reportedly Wants To Join The Billionaire Club
Prince Harry and Markle have a combined net worth of between £50.6 million to £100 million. However, Heat insiders claimed that the former Suits star is not settling with the millionaire status.
Markle allegedly has set her sights on making it into the elite billionaires' club. The duchess is reportedly busy making connections to help her get to where she wants to be.
The royal couple is set to receive a humanitarian award at New York's Ripple of Hope gala next month. A table at the gala reportedly cost $1 million. The "Pioneer" package, where the Sussexes are expected to be sitting, reportedly included four seats at the top table.
"Obviously, proceeds from this event will be going to charity, but the networking opportunities that come from being top of the guest list are endless," the source said.

The tipster added that Markle will never give up her association with the royal family because it can be "very rewarding."
"By the middle of next year, she imagines she and Harry could be on their way to becoming billionaires, especially if they get to keep their HRH titles," the source added.
