Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a very good impression in their neighborhood when they got festive and sponsored the Montecito Association's first-ever holiday parade. The recent comment about the couple was very different from previous reports claiming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were the "worst neighbors."

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Praised For Being Good Neighbors

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in the mood to celebrate the season. They got festive and sponsored a Christmas event in the Montecito community.

Sharon Byrne, Chief of the Montecito Association, confirmed the news on Good Morning Britain.

"I have to tell you that Harry and Meghan did sponsor our first ever Montecito holiday parade," she told GBN as quoted by Express. "They were the first people to sponsor it. Very good neighbors."

Byrne added that the royal couple reached out to them last year and they gave them some assistance when they moved into the neighborhood. Then, Prince Harry and Markle asked the organization what they were doing and how they could join.

"They came to the fourth of July parade, and no one knew it was them, and they waved at everybody at the fourth of July parade, and then they called me, and they said we'd really like to help with that," Byrne added. "So I said we had a Christmas parade coming up, why don't you do that? And so they did."

Byrne spoke about the tight-knit neighborhood in Montecito. According to them, the residents didn't leave their homes during the pandemic. Unlike the others, they stayed home for a "change."

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Previously Called 'Worst Neighbors'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made headlines last year for a totally opposite adjective. They were called "worst neighbors ever."

A report from Star alleged that they were called "neighbors from hell" because they allegedly brought chaos to Montecito after they moved there.

"People pay millions to live there because it’s beautiful, private, and peaceful," an anonymous insider said. "But with Harry and Meghan around, it’s become total chaos."

The anonymous source alleged that the royal couple was unfriendly and "downright cold." They reportedly don't make eye contact when they walk their dogs.

Gossip Cop examined the report and debunked it. The rumor-debunking site pointed out how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle contributed to charities like organizing and sponsoring the Global Citizen’s VAX Live concert.
