Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly had some plans to include a photo of the Queen's first meeting with their daughter, Lilibet, for their Netflix docuseries. However, they didn't get what they wanted as it was ruined, according to a royal biographer.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry's Master Plan For Netflix Docuseries Was Allegedly Ruined

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew to the U.K. earlier this month to join Queen Elizabeth for her Platinum Jubilee. The pair kept a low profile while in is home country.

However, they allegedly had some plans for their Netflix project, but it was ruined after the palace aides stopped them from taking photos of Her Majesty's first meeting with their daughter.

Royal expert Russell Myers said the officials were "absolutely" against photoshoots amid claims that the Sussexes are doing a Netflix documentary.

"The Queen did get to meet her great-granddaughter Lilibet," Myers said on Today, confirming the Queen's meeting with Lilibet, Express reported. "There was no official photography being placed but the reports were that Harry and Meghan did want their friend Misan Harriman to come and have a picture with the Queen."

The expert noted that it would have been a "nice family moment." However, the Palace was "absolutely adamant that it couldn't take place." In his opinion, the palace aides were only doing their job because there were rumors that Prince Harry and Markle were doing a documentary. Also, it's not a secret that the Sussexes have a multi-million, multi-year deal with the streaming service.

"You can't blame them because Harry and Meghan are still rumoured to be doing this fly on the wall documentary with Netflix. It's all getting quite messy," Myers continued.

Queen Banned Meghan Markle And Prince Harry From Photographing First Meeting With Lilibet

Before Myers shared his thoughts about documenting the Queen's first meeting with Lilibet, an unnamed source also shared the same message. The 96-year-old monarch reportedly turned down Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's plan to picture her first encounter with their daughter.

"Harry and Meghan wanted their photographer to capture the moment Lilibet met the Queen," an unnamed source told The Sun. "But they were told no chance. It was a private family meeting."

Although the Queen turned down chances to document her first encounter with her great-granddaughter, she made sure it was not their first and last meeting. The Queen spent several days with Prince Harry and Markle's kids while they were in the U.K. She was even present on Lilibet's first birthday.

"After reluctantly pulling out of Party at the Palace, spending time with her great-grandchildren and seeing Lilibet turn 1 added some light to her day. She thinks they’re adorable and gave Lili and Archie gifts," an unnamed source told Us Weekly.
