Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have returned to the U.K. after joining Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, which only made them realize one thing — they are not that wanted in the country. According to a royal pundit, the Sussexes' attendance only showed that they needed the monarchy more than the latter needed them.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry's Realization After The Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Princess Diana's former biographer Lady Colin Campbell spoke with journalist Dan Wootton for GBNews after the four-day Platinum Jubilee celebration. During the royal pundit's guesting, the host mentioned that the royal event proved Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "need the monarchy more than the monarchy needs them."

"Oh, that's always a fact," Campbell told the host. "I think what was really apparent is that they're a busted flush."

The Meghan and Harry: The Real Story author weighed in on what the Sussexes felt after the event.

"My understanding is that they are absolutely spitting bricks, that they're very upset, that they're in fact, very concerned that their brand has been irretrievably damaged by the fact that the whole world now knows that they are not only third-tier royals," she said.

Several agreed with the royal expert. For them, the couple who were almost not felt during the four-day festivities just deserved it.

"You got it right Dan. You too Lady C Those two should not even be third-tier due to the forthcoming damaging material they plan to release. Unless it's cancelled.," Jeremiah Lyles commented on Campbell's statement.

"How very clever of the RF to let Harry, Meghan and the whole world see where H&M stand in the RF.   Definitely not ‘front line’. Anyway, that was the message I got," Jacqueline de Freitas added.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Booed At Platinum Jubilee, Only Attended Two Events

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex only attended two events in the four-day Platinum Jubilee celebration. They watched Trooping the Colour Thursday.

However, they did not make a balcony appearance because the Queen only limited the royal line-up of those making a balcony appearance to active royals. Instead, they watched the flypast with the royal children at the Major General's Office.

They also attended the National Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral Friday. However, they were received by a mix of boos and cheers.

Following the incident, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn't attend any other jubilee event. They also left the U.K. hours before the finale.
