Critics were quick to lambast Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for allegedly spending more money on legal fees. Filings with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service revealed that the Sussex couple raised less than $50,000 for the Archewell foundation in 2020.

However, it was also learned that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent more than $55,000 on attorneys. The fees, spent between June 2020 and June 2021, went to wrap up their one-year-old British charity after Queen Elizabeth prohibited them from using the name Sussex Royal for their non-profit organization.
A former fan told National Enquirer:
“They’ve had such grand ideas but never deliver – and now find themselves in the middle of yet another scandal, this one involving their charities. They’re the ultimate hypocrites.”
A royal source said to the publication:
“The launch of Archewell made world headlines. Everyone expected money to pour in, but Harry and Meghan’s popularity plummeted after they accused the royal family of racism. People apparently didn’t buy into their high-and-mighty plan to save the world. Even their A-list Hollywood friends backed away.”
The news outlet added Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also faced investigations by a U.K. watchdog. To recall, the parents of Archie and Lilibet launched Sussex Royal in July 2019 after their falling out with Kate Middleton and Prince William.
However, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stopped their operations a year after, which sparked criticisms from Britain’s Charity Commission for allegedly wasting the donors’ money. Reports claimed that none of the funds in Sussex Royal were transferred to Archewell, which was incorporated in American in April 2020.
After paying legal fees, a grant of $287,000 reportedly went to Prince Harry’s sustainable travel company called Travalyst. Though Archewell is based in California, National Enquirer claimed all their companies and charities are said to be incorporated in Delaware.
The news outlet added that the said state has been slammed by anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International for allowing “secrecy that enables shady companies and fraudsters to cover their tracks when shifting dirty money from place to place.”
An unidentified palace insider claimed:
“Archewell’s dismal income spotlights the backlash against the Sussexes. Raising such a paltry sum while they signed deals worth over $100 million with Netflix, Spotify and others is humiliating. Why didn’t they donate a couple million themselves to save face? The buzz is they’re narcissists, they didn’t think of it!”
Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on these reports. So, avid followers of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should take all of these unverified claims with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
Prince Charles Invited Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To Stay With Him In The U.K.?
Meanwhile, Prince Charles has allegedly invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to stay with him when they visit the United Kingdom. It, reportedly, happened after the Duke of Sussex revealed he is seeking judicial review following the denial of the UK Home Office of his request to pay for police protection for his family during their trips to Britain.
The Mirror reported that Prince Charles wants to spend quality time with the family of Prince Harry. The husband of Camilla Parker-Bowles is reportedly thrilled to see Lilibet. Neither Meghan Markle nor Archie have returned to the U.K. since they left in 2020.
However, the good-natured plan of Prince Charles has been thrown into doubt again after Prince Harry suggested that visiting Britain would come at “too great a personal risk” because of his security situation. It was thought that the Sussex pair would make an effort to attend Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
