Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the United States and settled in California after they stepped down from their royal duties. There are rumors that they are feuding with the royal family after their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey. However, one royal expert claims they will benefit more if they keep their connection to the British royals.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Royal Connection Will Allegedly Help Their Brand

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have likely received an invite to Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebration this year. The event will mark the Queen's 70 years of service and leadership.

According to royal expert Pauline Maclaren, both the Sussexes and the royal family will benefit from their reunion. However, it will allegedly benefit Prince Harry and Markle more.

"I think it would be very good for the Sussex brand as well as they really need to maintain those sort of royal connections to really validate their brand, otherwise what are they," Maclaren was quoted by Express as saying. "So because it might benefit them more than the actual Royal Family brand that might in fact encourage them to make a visit to top up their brand as it were with a little bit of royal shimmer and glimmer."

As for the British royal family, she believed they could benefit from the "diversity" that Markle brings.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Return To The UK Still Uncertain

Prince Harry is currently in a legal battle with the UK government. He filed for a judiciary review to check Home Office's decision to decline his request to pay for police protection. The Duke of Sussex reportedly feels that it's not safe to return to the UK with his family that's why he wants to have police protection.

The Duke of Sussex is not entitled to police protection after he stepped down from his royal duties, so he offered to personally pay for the service. But many disagreed because Met police do not cater to private citizens, so he couldn't just pay them to get their service.

An unnamed source told Page Six that they might skip Prince Philip's memorial service this spring because his dispute over police protection has not been addressed yet. If the same issue continues until the end of the year, the Sussexes might miss the Queen's Platinum Jubilee or Prince Harry will have to attend alone because he doesn't want to bring his wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet without guaranteed protection.

There are rumors that Markle doesn't want to return to the UK, so Prince Harry is allegedly only using the security issue as an excuse why the Duchess of Sussex will not return to the UK. However, another source told Us Weekly, the Sussexes are determined to go back to the UK, so their children will meet Queen Elizabeth II and bond with their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
