Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were rarely seen, and their presence was almost not felt at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Royal expert Lady Colin Campbell shared more details about the royal couple's whereabouts during the four-day celebration.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Didn't Like Being Booed

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first public outing after stepping down from their royal duties in 2020 at the National Service of Thanksgiving in honor of the Queen Friday. They were all smiles when they appeared on the steps of St. Paul Cathedral.

However, they were met by a mix of boos and cheers when they went their way inside the cathedral. When the couple left, the crowd booed at them again, and they were reportedly not happy. But they somehow expected being booed and even allegedly prepared for it.

"They expected a possibility of boos," Lady Colin Campbell told Dan Wootton on GBNews. "So, they had their paid clack of supporters to cheer them along."

Campbell said it was "sort of all right-ish." However, "they didn't like that they were booed."

To make the matter worse, Campbell claimed that when the couple walked into the cathedral, "absolutely everyone cold-shouldered them." She noted that nobody caught their eye and nobody wanted to talk to them except Zara Tindall.

"It was studiedly unnatural polite but freezing cold," the royal pundit added. In Campbell's opinion, the Sussexes were "spitting bricks" after realizing the booing and the cold-shouldering. So, they decided to skip the event after the Thanksgiving service.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were allegedly supposed to attend a reception at the Guild Hall after the Thanksgiving service. However, they didn't show up at the event, and Campbell said it was because "they couldn't contain their rage" after the booing and cold-shouldering at the cathedral.

According to Wootton, there was a whole selection of rooms at the Guild Hall, and various royals were working in various different rooms.

"I spoke to one of the guests, who was left incredibly disappointed because they had no royal in their room," Wootton said. "And they were told by organizers it was because Harry and Meghan didn't bother to show up."
