Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are returning to the United Kingdom after the frosty welcome they reportedly received from the royal family during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebration. However, they will be there for some engagements and are reportedly unlikely to meet Prince William and Kate Middleton even if they would be living so close to each other.
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry And, Kate Middleton, Prince William Will Be Neighbors Next Month
For a brief time, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be neighbors, The Sun reported.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be returning to the U.K. and live in their London residence, the five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage. Prince William and Kate Middleton are moving to Windsor to be close to the 96-year-old British monarch and will occupy the Adelaide Cottage.
By that time, the two royal couples will be living just 800 meters away from each other. However, sources told The Sun they are unlikely to see each other.
Prince Charles' two sons are barely on speaking terms after Megxit. Sources said there are "no plans" for the Sussexes and Cambridges to meet despite their close proximity.
"I don’t think they would bump into one another unless it was pre-arranged," royal biographer and editor of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward said. "I suppose one could go round with some flowers as a peace offering, but remember what happened last time."
Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Did Not Interact In Most Recent Public Sighting
The four royals were last seen at the Thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral in honor of the Queen, who was celebrating her Platinum Jubilee at the time. However, they noticeably didn't interact.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who were banned from making a balcony appearance, were also seated rows away from the senior royals.
A source told People that the seating arrangement was made that way to avoid speculations.
"It was meant to be all about the Queen, and it didn't give people the chance to speculate about their relationship," the royal insider said.

When the future king and queen consort made their way to their seats in the front row, they didn't look in the Sussexes' direction. Prince Harry and Markle were seated alongside Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, and their husbands.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also left the cathedral without speaking to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry and Markle were seen talking to his cousin Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips on the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral before they left.
"They aren't part of the [working] royal family anymore, and that's a decision they have taken — but maybe [the public] hasn't quite accepted that yet," a source said explaining why the Sussexes were banned from making a balcony appearance. "Yes, they were low-key. They paid their respects and went home. They were really here to see the Queen, and they did."
