Meghan Markle has been a favorite subject of criticism since she was first linked to Prince Harry in 2016. The former Suits actress has received more condemnations and hounded with various controversies after tying the knot with the Duke of Sussex.

Critics do not only attack the physical appearance of Meghan Markle, but also his fashion style, parenting ways, and how she acts in public. The Duchess of Sussex was even accused of influencing Prince Harry to ditch royal life and live a life away from the United Kingdom, which was popularly known as Megxit.

Now, new reports suggested that Meghan Markle is a victim of a coordinated and lucrative online attack campaign. Keep on reading to know more details.

Meghan Markle Is One Of The ‘Most Trolled’ Personalities In The Entire Planet

It was in 2019 when Meghan Markle found out that she was one of the most criticized people in the entire world. While she was obviously sad to know that fact, the wife of Prince Harry chose not to reveal the stats on a podcast so she would generate sympathy from her fans.

However, based on her previous statements, Meghan Markle hinted that all the criticisms she got and malicious rumors she got involved in had affected her in one way or another. She even discussed how “racism” in the palace had helped her decide to depart from the Firm and live a more peaceful life away from the royal family.

Interestingly, data analytics service Bot Sentinel revealed in its final report that Meghan Markle was a victim of a targeted “hate-for-profit enterprise.” It even claimed that a category of anti-Meghan YouTube channels has earned an estimated $3.48 million total in the process while also gaining more than 497 million combined views.

Each of the YouTube content creators who targeted Meghan Markle has reportedly garnered an estimated $494,730 from their videos. The three top creators also allegedly funneled their campaigns on Twitter, where they have spread false information to royal experts and journalists.

The said analysis came after two reports from Bot Sentinel, where the extent to which Meghan Markle's hate accounts have impacted news coverage was explored. It was even found that the majority of the anti-Meghan Markle posts on Twitter came from less than 90 accounts, with an estimated combined reach of 17 million users.

In the report, Bot Sentinel stated:

“Although we limited our investigation to 10 journalists and royal commentators, our research demonstrated two royal experts amplified hate accounts, and at least in one instance, a hate account influenced a journalist's reporting. It's our opinion that several of the most well-known and active hate accounts were actively targeting journalists and royal commentators to boost their visibility and amplify their hate campaign, and in some cases, they were successful.”

Experts claimed the most alarming part of these coordinated attacks is the fact that content creators get a financial reward from YouTube. It was also discovered that the majority of the hate campaigns against Meghan Markle were led or participated in by white women, who were primarily motivated by “racism and YouTube ad revenue,” between the ages of 38 and 65.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Security Row Is Reportedly Not Simple

Meanwhile, a former royal protection officer shared his thoughts about the ongoing security row of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Speaking on The Morning Show, Simon Morgan revealed that the situation is actually more difficult than what most people have thought it would be.

Simon Morgan, weighing in on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s security issue, said:

"The initial request has been the return of their police protection officers, which prior to leaving the Royal family in March 2020 they both had. Royal family security is cradle to grave so very much the Duke of Sussex was used to it. The scenario here is actually the purchasing of police protection, not actually the purchasing of private security which is what the Sussexes currently pay for in the US. So, there is a difference and it’s not black and white it’s very much a grey area, and there’s lots of things that need to be looked at rather than just saying, /should he or shouldn’t he?'"
