Meghan Markle has been estranged from her dad and half-siblings ever since she started dating Prince Harry. In fact, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot, they decided to not invite Samantha Markle and Thomas Markle Jr. to their big day.
The couple initially invited Markle’s parents to their royal wedding. But Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., was unable to make it because he suffered a heart attack days before his daughter’s special day.
Meghan Markle’s Half-Brother Thinks Their Dad Could Be Dying?
Markle’s half-brother recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Closer UK, where he once again begged the Suits alum to make amends with their dad. Thomas Jr. thinks that this could be their dad’s last Christmas so it’s best if everyone would just reconcile.
“Our lives were turned upside down when Meghan began dating Harry. Our surname became world-famous when she married him. Everything that’s happened is crazy and just so sad. My dad has taken the biggest hit with it. I know his health issues in 2018 were totally caused by the stress of the whole thing. His heart is broken, and I’m always keeping an eye on him. What makes me sad is the thought that he and Meghan may never make up. Tomorrow isn’t promised and you never know what’s going to happen. This could be our dad’s last Christmas. I’m desperate for her to heal the rift,” Thomas said.
Thomas Markle Jr. Apologizes To Meghan Markle
Markle’s half-brother previously apologized to the Duchess of Sussex during his stint in Big Brother VIP. He also admitted that it was very immature of him to criticize Prince Harry’s wife in public just because she froze them out.
“I do regret some of the things I said because now I’ve realized that there’s no point in back and forth. At the end of the day, family is the most important thing in the world. So, if I could speak to Meghan now, I’d just say, ‘Put the past behind you, you can’t change yesterday but you can change tomorrow.’ It would be the best Christmas present ever to make amends, for dad to meet his grandkids and for my sons to meet their cousins and uncle,” Thomas said.
He also insisted that he grew up close to the Duchess of Sussex. Thomas added that he and his siblings all shared a special bond with each other. However, this is in stark contrast to what another source said.
In 2018, a source told People that Markle has no relationship with her half-siblings that’s why she didn’t even invite them to her royal wedding.
Thomas Markle Jr. Claims To Know Information About Meghan Markle
Thomas also described Markle as a happy young girl that loved Disney princesses while she was growing up.
“Meghan was a really happy and warm kid. She was very loved by the family and wanted for nothing. We were also very close, and she loved family occasions and holidays. And, just like any little girl, she adored Disney and princess movies. Her favorites were Aladdin and Cinderella. She loved them. I have no doubt that, of course, her dream was to be a princess. It’s every little girl’s dream,” Thomas said.

The Duke, Duchess Of Sussex Will Celebrate Christmas In Montecito
As of late, Markle doesn’t have any known plans to reunite with her dad for Christmas. In fact, her siblings have been asking her to spend time with their family for three years, but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
This week's reports also revealed that Prince Harry and Markle won’t also celebrate Christmas with Queen Elizabeth, who just suffered a health scare, and the royal family, according to Page Six.
Instead, they will spend time with their children in Montecito and have a quiet celebration.
