Meghan Markle reportedly filed a second motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed against her by her estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle. The latter previously accused Markle of lying about the majority of her accounts during her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.
Meghan Markle Tries To Have Samantha Markle’s Lawsuit Dismissed Again
According to Us Weekly, Meghan Markle previously filed a motion to try and dismiss Samantha Markle’s meritless lawsuit against her. However, Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell denied her request. The Duchess of Sussex then filed a second motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
Reports revealed that Samantha is also trying to remove Honeywell from the case because she is convinced that she cannot remain impartial. After all, the judge was appointed by former President Barack Obama, and Samantha believes the ex-POTUS has ties to Prince Harry and Markle.

Samantha Markle Accused Meghan Markle Of Lying About Her Past
In her lawsuit filed in March, Samantha claimed that her half-sister lied about her life growing up. During her conversation with Winfrey, Markle said that she grew up as an only child. She also said that she hasn’t seen her half-siblings in 18 or 19 years.
Markle also slammed Samantha for changing her surname back to “Markle” shortly after she and Prince Harry started dating.
In her filing, Samantha claimed that Markle’s comments had a negative effect on the sales of her book. She also claimed to have suffered emotional and mental distress after her half-sister’s tell-all was released.
The Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister is seeking $75,000 in damages.
Samantha Markle Continues To Lambast Meghan Markle During Interviews
Throughout the past couple of years, Samantha has sat down for a slew of interviews where she criticized Markle. Last month, the author of Princess Pushy’s Sister accused the Suits alum of negligence after their dad, Thomas Markle Sr., was rushed to a hospital due to a suspected stroke.
During her appearance on Dan Wooton Tonight, Samantha said that her dad has been through so much.
“Two heart attacks, a pandemic, and now a stroke. None of us have heard from Meghan — that’s negligence. If she can’t find it in her heart or have the moral conscience to step forward, then shame on her. She sees all of this. I’m getting the feeling that I would be spinning my wheels to try and appeal to her heart now. It’s a travesty how much he’s been tortured and how much he’s had to go through thanks to my sister’s disregard for the past few years. That’s unforgivable,” Samantha said (via Page Six).
However, there was also at least one occasion wherein Samantha apologized to Markle for her behavior. In 2018, Samantha told Jeremy Vine that she wishes things could be different.
“I would just say that there is so much water under the bridge and so much has spun out of control that was never intended to. I think everybody was hurt not being included or invited to the wedding, but I felt as though it could have all been nipped in the bud had everyone been included...The hurt feelings wouldn't have snowballed... Believe it or not, it doesn't mean that we love you any less, I just think that families can be this way when there's confusion and people are hurt. So, moving forward, I apologize and wish things could be different,” she said (via USA Today).
