Meghan Markle starred in the hit TV series Suits for several seasons. But after her relationship with Prince Harry became public, she was forced to leave the series. After all, members of the royal family are not allowed to work as actors and actresses because their duty is to serve The Crown.

Palace Reportedly Became Involved With Meghan Markle's Show Suits

Years after her exit from Suits, royal author Tom Bower revealed how the Palace became involved with Meghan Markle's role in the series. He said that the Palace asked for advance copies of scripts in where the Duchess of Sussex will be featured. And then, they were forwarded to Kensington Palace for approval.

"Fearing the worst, from bitter experience, the Palace stepped in to control Meghan's life. Aaron Korsh was told to submit all future Suits scripts to Nick Collins, Meghan's agent. Scripts were thereafter forwarded to Kensington Palace for approval. Orders for changes of words were sent back from London to Los Angeles," Bower said (via Mirror UK).

Meghan Markle Wasn't Allowed To Be Photographed In Rachel Zane's Wedding Dress?

The royal author also revealed some information regarding Markle's last scene, which featured her character Rachel Zane getting married. According to Bower, the Palace ordered that no photos of Markle will be taken while she's wearing her make-believe wedding dress.

"Between filming, she was always to wear a jacket over the dress. The atmosphere in the studio changed. Some actors and staff discovered that Meghan's attitude occasionally stiffened. Sometimes she arrived late and her empathy occasionally morphed into near-arrogance. Meghan had markedly shifted from the early days when she held a prayer meeting with the Suits cast before filming started. Tongue-in-cheek, the Suits scriptwriters took a license with Zane's final words before she says, 'I do,'" Bower said.

Suits Creator Adam Korsh Talked About Meghan Markle Leaving The Series

Last year, Markle opened up about leaving Suits during her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

"I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. Now it's time to work with Harry as a team," she said (via Edinburgh News).

Suits creator Adam Korsh also talked about Markle's exit from the series during his interview.

"I sort of had a decision to make because I didn't want to intrude and ask her, 'Hey, what's going on? What are you going to do?' So, collectively the writers, we decided to take a gamble that these two people [Meghan and Harry] are in love and it's going to work out. What we decided to do was as the season progresses say, 'Look, I would rather have good things happen to Meghan in her life — which would likely mean her leaving the show. So, let's plan on that and it's much easier to undo that if it came to it than to just plan on her staying forever and then finding out she's going to go," he said.
