It's been 16 years since Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle hit theaters, and after a failed TV reboot, the Angels are coming back to the big screen. Just in, Sony has dropped the first trailer for the movie starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska, and director Elizabeth Banks herself.
Here's the official description:
In Banks' bold vision, Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska are working for the mysterious Charles Townsend, whose security and the investigative agency has expanded internationally. With the world's smartest, bravest, and most highly trained women all over the globe, there are now teams of Angels guided by multiple Bosleys taking on the toughest jobs everywhere.
What's interesting is that movie also has appearances from Marvel actors Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou, and they are both playing different Bosleys. Banks herself is also a Bosley, and it might be possible that we could be meeting other ‘Angels' from different branches.
With the introduction of these different groups, I'm kind of curious if there are plans to re-introduce the characters of Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu from the early 2000s version of Angels—even for just a small cameo. Sure those movies were never critically praised, but I thought they were fun rides when I was a kid.
Charlie's Angels is set to come out this Nov. 15.
