Marvel fans are in for a treat as the new addition to Disney+'s expanding slate, She-Hulk is finally headed to the streaming service this August. In addition to the good news, the long-awaited trailer for the upcoming series was finally released. Although most fans are pleased with Tatiana Maslany's debut as the titular character, some fans pointed out how the show's CGI looks terrible, and Maslany's She-Hulk almost looked like the fan-favorite animated character, Princess Fiona, of Shrek.
A few hours after the first trailer for Disney+'s She-Hulk arrived, the show instantly became a hot topic on social media platforms including Twitter. However, while fans are talking about the new Marvel heroine, the classic animated film Shrek was also trending. While some fans think that this might be a silly coincidence, unluckily, it's not.
MCU fans have pointed out that there's a resemblance between Maslany's She-Hulk with Shrek's other half, Princess Fiona due to the show’s awful CGI.
It's understandable how fans compare She-Hulk to Fiona, as they both are green-skinned characters with a muscular build. But what's heartbreaking about this is how the fans are complaining about the upcoming show's CGI, which has been a controversial issue in the franchise over the years.
Given how Marvel Studios is a multi-billion franchise, seeing an awful CGI in the trailer would really leave a mark. While this CGI issue might leave the fans dispirited, let's hope that Marvel Studios is listening to their viewers and maybe fix it before the show premiers.
She-Hulk will be Tatiana Maslany's debut as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer, and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk protege. The series will follow Walters' transition into becoming the female counterpart of Hulk, evolving into the MCU's She-Hulk. Alongside Maslany, Mark Ruffalo will return as Bruce Banner, and Tim Roth will also reprise his role as the Abomination. Doctor Strange's Wong is also rumored to appear in the series.
She-Hulk will be streaming on Disney+ on August 17.
