Marvel's She-Hulk Casts Filipino-American Ginger Gonzaga

Marvel's WandaVision has already started playing on Disney+ which has placed a very compelling mystery right into the middle of a seemingly family-oriented sitcom. Marvel Studios will continue to go into uncharted territory with its characters with the upcoming half-hour legal comedy series titled She-Hulk.

She-Hulk is a series that will be by actress Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black). Maslany took on the lead role in the series as Jennifer Walters.

Another actress is added to the cast list as Filipino-American actress Ginger Gonzaga (Kidding) will join the series. The actress expressed her excitement in joining the series in a tweet that she sent out, stating she is excited to work with the talented Maslany.

The character named Jennifer is Bruce Banner's cousin who also inherited his Hulk powers after she needed a blood transfusion from him. Unlike Banner who sometimes loses himself when transforming, Jennifer is able to retain her intelligence, emotional control, and personality when in her transformed state.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga will be playing the role of Walter's best friend in the series. She will also join Mark Ruffalo who will reprise his role as the Hulk, also known as Banner. She will also work with Tim Roth, who will return to his role as Abomination, which he first played in The Incredible Hulk (2008).

Kat Cairo will be helming the pilot episode and other several episodes of the series. She will also serve as an executive producer for the series. Jessica Gao, the Rick and Morty writer, will lead the writing for the series.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga was previously a recurring cast member on Showtime's Kidding, alongside Jim Carrey. She also took part in the stand-up comedy-drama series titled I'm Dying Up Here which Carrey served as the executive producer on Showtime. Gonzaga has also been a key character on HBO's Togetherness and Chance on Hulu.
