It looks like Marvel's most controversial character is set to make his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon, only this time around, he'll no longer be relegated to being just a post-credits and cameo guy. According to new info unearthed by an MCU fan (via The Direct), Howard the Duck could be one of the side characters we can expect in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk top-billed by Tatiana Maslany.

Twitter user @tuttiquantinoob shared a page from Picsou Magazine, an officially licensed French Disney magazine that features iconic Disney character Scrooge McDuck. Turns out, the latest issue of the magazine teased the return of Seth Green as the divisive extraterrestrial anthropomorphic duck, and while key details about his comeback weren't disclosed, the magazine hints that he'll appear in She-Hulk.

Howard's biggest role in the franchise to date came in the animated spinoff What If...? which saw Seth Green reprise the role for two episodes. Compared to his live-action outings which only lasted a combined 1 minute and 15 seconds, the alien duck was given a more substantial role in animation and quickly won fans over.

Now, you may think that a character like Howard the Duck showing up in She-Hulk would seem quite odd but it's worth noting that the series will reportedly feature Jennifer Walters breaking the fourth wall every now and then. This obviously means that there's a place for Howard on the show but whether or not he's also a fourth-wall-breaking character remains to be seen.

Marvel's She-Hulk is expected to hit Disney+ this year.
