Marvel's What If..? Season 2 Renewal Status: It is Confirmed!
As confirmed in various interviews of the showrunners of the series, A.C. Bradley and Brad Winderbaum, there would be an upcoming season for What If..? and not just one, there would even be a third in line.
What If..? is expected to be a multi-season series and that makes it one of the first for Marvel.
It has already been teased that Captain Carter's arc will continue for two seasons or more, seemingly confirming that there would be more.
What better way to re-tell the whole MCU through alternate realities than more seasons, right?
Not only that, the series has also been given a green light for What If..? Season 3! Are you ready for more alternate realities coming to the screens?
Marvel's What If..? Season 2 Release Date: When Will the Marvel Series Come Out?
During the Marvel Studios animation panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that What If..? Season 2 is currently under production and its release window would be in early 2023.
Despite this, Marvel's What If..? Season 2 has been officially delayed as a change in the listing on Disney Plus indicates that the series is "Coming Soon," instead of the listing before that says "Early 2023."
More than that, Marvel's What If..? Season 2 is not included in the list of releases for Disney Plus this 2023.
With Loki Season 2 and Echo coming out in late 2023, the earliest possible release of Marvel's What If..? Season 2 could be in 2024.

What If..? Season 2 has one episode already confirmed and it will be the one with Gamora and Stark fighting the Mad Titan and coming out victorious.
It was the episode that moved from the first to the second due to the pandemic when one of the animation studios was hit hard by the virus.
The post-credits scene teases something about Steve Rogers' return through the Hydra Stomper. That easily gives Captain Carter hope that she might have the chance to dance with him once more.
Also, the stint of Captain Carter is already confirmed to go beyond season 2 so expect more of her.
Of course, Uatu remains to be the constant character among all those in the multiverse. What stories will he be up to now?
In an interview with A.C. Bradley with EW, he shared some news as to what may happen with What If..? Season 2, "Hopefully, we'll see hints of Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Black Widow characters."
Bradley added, "The fun of What If...? is that we get to explore the entire infinite multiverse, so we try and bounce around as much as we can."
Bradley further explained that there would be new heroes waiting in the story, "I want to play with all these characters, and as much as I love Captain Carter, we've got to share the love. I'm very excited to show new worlds, new heroes."
Marvel's What If..? Season 2 Previews, Theories, and Spoilers
In a leak breakdown posted online about the trailer preview for Marvel's What If..? Season 2 during the San Diego Comic Con, it teases Captrain Carter with Black Widow and War Machine where she feels like she is "in a horror movie."
This is in the episode titled, "What If Captain Carter Fought The Hydra Stomper?" hinting that instead of Bucky, it was Steve Rogers who Hydra captured.
Next would be about Hela in an episode which could deal with Thor's sister, possibly what happened if she wasn't banished.
Then there was young Peter Quill being welcomed by Ego which could answer what happens if Yondu turned Quill over to Ego.
Black Widow is on the center of the one again and this time, there's an old Bucky who seems to be the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ant-Man.
Then, there's a "next year" teasing the release of the series afterwards, there's Scarlet Witch with the voice over of "the Multiverse."
The removed episode from Season 1 is also set to appear on Marvel's What If..? Season 2 where Stark is in the Hulkbuster, possibly meeting Gamora somewhere in the universe.
A scene also shows Valkyrie in a race against the Grandmaster.
Possibly, there would be some Shang-Chi action, too, with Wenwu and his wife seem to face Odin.
Then, there's the Infinity War battle where Thanos and Captain America were fighting and Cap managed to take away and destroy the Time Stone from the Mad Titan, possibly a lead to Avengers: Secret Wars, and may be a direct call back to Neil Gaiman's Marvel comics.
Other characters in the trailer are Bucky and the Red Guardian going toe-to-toe.
By the end of it, there was an unknown voice that said he wanted the universe, too. As to who the voice was, it is yet to be revealed.
Where to Watch Marvel's What If..? Season 2?
It will continue where it started. Disney+ exclusively streams Marvel's What If..? along with all the other Marvel series released or upcoming as announced for Phase Four of the MCU.
The series is Rated TV-14. Disney+ also has the series available in 4k for better viewing.
Is There a Trailer for Marvel's What If..? Season 2?
Unfortunately, there is no trailer yet for Marvel's What If..? Season 2.
Since its release date has been pushed back, one can expect a trailer two to three months before the official release date of the series.
However, a leak breakdown has been released online from the trailer preview of Marvel's What If..? Season 2 during the San Diego Comic Con so a trailer could be expected to arrive anytime soon, possibly during the Disney D23 Expo coming this September.
