Marvel Star Gets Honest About Harry Styles Joining MCU: “I Feel So Weird About It”

Marvel’s post-credits scenes are always an early teaser for what direction the next MCU film will be taking, and none can argue that one of the most surprising castings is Harry Styles as Starfox aka Eros, brother of Thanos, appearing in the post-credits scene of Eternals back in 2021. It looks like MCU fans weren’t the only ones shocked by his sudden inclusion, but even Ms. Marvel star, Iman Vellani.

Recently speaking with AP Entertainment, Vellani expresses her concern on the future of Styles in the MCU, seeing as this would not only affect the merging of the One Direction fandom and the Marvel fandom, but in terms of where the Don’t Worry Darling star fits in the multiverse in the long run. Check out Vellani’s full comment below:

“Ohhh, I feel so weird about it! I don’t know. It’s strange.” Needless to say, Vellani doubts where the One Direction star role could lead in the future of the franchise, “I wonder, I really wonder if they’re gonna go ahead and do something with that character, or if they just teased it for the sake of it. Because I know Chloe Zhao is a big Harry Styles fan. But then you have all of the Harry Styles fandom in the MCU fandom, how chaotic would that be?”

Although neither Harry himself nor Marvel have openly stated upon the return of Eros anytime soon, the actor was clear when he previously stated in a Rolling Stone interview that he was taking a break from movies, but all the while he was brushing off his return anytime soon, Harry did joke about Eternals being his first and last MCU appearance, “It’d be funny if that was it, wouldn’t it?”

The Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, is currently slated for release on July 28, 2023, starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau.
