Marvel Studios Reveals First Look of Moon Knight

One of the most eagerly-awaited MCU series is Moon Knight which was announced to be in the works a few years ago. For a while now, we know that Oscar Isaac is playing Marc Spector/Moon Knight. Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy were also cast in supporting roles, with the former casts as the villain. We also learned a few weeks ago that production for the series has wrapped. Now, we finally have our first-ever look at the series.

During Marvel Studios' Disney+ Day presentation, they showed the 30-second first look footage on Moon Knight. It didn't tell us what the plot is, but it showed us the tone and visual of the series which looks to be very much different from the other MCU films and shows.

In the footage that was released, we saw a glimpse of Isaac as Marc Spector who looks to be quietly tortured and grappling with his dissociative identity disorder. We also caught a quick look at him in costume as Moon Knight as he seemingly kills someone and jump between buildings.

Based on the previews, Moon Knight looks like it's going to be a dark and brutal series. It seems that they are going to do a deep exploration on Marc Spector's psychological issue which harkens back to the comics. We definitely can't wait to see the rest of what's in store for the upcoming series.

Per the official logline, the six-episode series is "a new globetrotting action-adventure series featuring a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him find themselves thrust into a deadly war of the gods against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt." Jeremy Slater serves as the head writer. Mohamed Diab directed four episodes while duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directed the other two.
