A lot of MCU fans have been looking forward to the second season of Loki, which will continue the God of Mischief's multiversal adventure and deal with the strange bureaucracy of the TVA following the shocking events of the first season finale.

There have been conflicting reports about the upcoming season's release window as it was initially reported that it will premiere this summer. However, following the reveal of Secret Invasion's premiere this June, it was shifted to a potential fall release.

Now, we finally have the official word on the upcoming season's premiere as Marvel Studios revealed that the second season of Loki will arrive on Disney+ this October 6.

The show's premiere day will also mark some shift in its release strategy as new episodes will be available every Friday instead of the usual Wednesday release on Disney+ original shows.

So far, the exact plot details for the second season remain under wraps except that the main cast from the first season will return and Jonathan Majors will appear in a couple of episodes as different Kang variants which were teased in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

"Loki is back at the TVA, he’s had a very difficult confrontation with Sylvie, and Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t know who he is," star Tom Hiddleston teased during the D23 presentation last year.

The series also stars Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Owen Wilson, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, and Tara Strong. Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan joins the second season as a TVA archivist.

Marvel Studios also announced at the same time that the upcoming Hawkeye spinoff series Echo will premiere on November 29 with all episodes dropping at once, unlike any other MCU shows that have premiered.

We should be hearing more updates about the upcoming season in the coming months as Marvel Studios is slowly rolling out more details about it.
