The Star Wars franchise's Skywalker saga is often lauded by fans for its unique way of storytelling, starting with the original trilogy that later expanded into the prequel and sequel trilogy. Obviously, Episodes I, II, and III would come out nearly 20 years after A New Hope was released in theaters and it has become somewhat of a running joke within the fandom that the actors from the original trilogy didn't watch any of the prequel material to prepare for their roles.

On Twitter, Star Wars legend and Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill hilariously "confirmed" the long-standing "fact" after one fan pointed out that Hamill hasn't seen the first three episodes before signing up for his now-iconic role. Check it out here:

Speaking of Luke, the Jedi Master has been an integral part of the franchise even after The Rise of Skywalker concluded the Skywalker saga in an underwhelming and polarizing fashion.

So far, we've already seen Luke make two appearances in the MandoVerse, and while The Book of Boba Fett seemingly ended his stint after Grogu rejected his offer to join his Jedi Academy, there have been persistent rumors suggesting that Lucasfilm is working on a standalone project featuring the original face of Star Wars. Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but I wouldn't mind seeing more of Luke Skywalker.

The entire Skywalker saga is available for streaming (in chronological order) on Disney+.
