Michelle Obama Talks About Raising Malia Obama, Sasha Obama
Last year, Michelle told Good Morning America talked about the future generation of Americans, which her daughters are a part of.
“If you sit around the dinner table, me and Barack, we can't get a word in edgewise and we like it like that. We want to hear their thoughts and their opinions, and that's where it begins. I always have wanted them to start practicing the power of their voices very early on and that is what I hope they are than who they are right now is enough,” Michelle said.
Barack Obama Says Daughters Won’t Run For Office
Months later, Barack shared why he thinks his daughters will never run for president.
“First of all, they as teenagers having Secret Service guys follow them when they were going out on dates, I think, probably have shut down their interest in public service. They still have PTSD from guys talking into their wrist microphones and glasses as they're trying to go to a music concert,” Barack told James Corden on the Late Late Show.

But now that Malia and Sasha are adults, they are free to make their own decisions.
Malia, who recently graduated from Harvard, currently works for Donald Glover’s latest project with Amazon. And while she was on her lunch break, the 23-year-old was photographed lighting a cigarette in an alley near her work.
She also emerged from a store with a vape pen in her hand. According to Radar Online, Malia purchased a Hyppe Max Flow disposable nicotine vape for $12.99.
Malia Obama Accused Of Underage Drinking
Three years ago, Malia also made headlines after she was photographed partying and holding a bottle of Whispering Angel rose wine, which only costs $80.
Radar Online was also the one that published photos of Malia from her hang out with friends and said that she could be in trouble for underage drinking. However, the former first daughter was already 20 years old at the time.
Barack Obama, Michelle Obama Raised Their Daughters Well
Barack and Michelle never addressed their daughter’s vices, and they don’t have any reason to do so. After all, Malia is just every other young woman in her 20s who’s enjoying life. As an adult, she can make decisions for herself as long as she’s not putting other people at risk.
Even though she drinks and smokes, Barack and Michelle are always proud of their children.
In fact, the ex-president previously said that he and his wife made sure to raise Malia and Sasha just like other normal children their age. And Michelle’s mom also had a hand in raising the siblings.
“Michelle and my mother-in-law were very good about, ‘Listen, you have to make your own beds. You have to wake yourselves up.’ If we ever saw a hint of them somehow thinking they were special, my mother-in-law always had the best line about this. One time they were acting out, my mother-in-law looked at them and said, ‘Uh, you guys realize you haven’t done anything, right? The only reason we’re here is that your parents have done some things. You guys have done nothing,’” Barack said.

Barack Obama Proud Of Malia Obama, Sasha Obama
The doting dad also said that Malia and Sasha seem to have embraced the lessons that they learned while growing up, and he couldn’t be prouder.
“I could not be prouder of them, not just because they're smart and accomplished, but they're just kind people. They don't have an attitude,” Barack gushed.
