Maleficent 2: Michelle Pfeiffer's Queen Ingrith Taking Aim At The Mistress Of Evil In New TV Spot

A new TV spot for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil has just been dropped and it looks like Michelle Pfeiffer's Queen Ingrith could be the one to take down Angelina Jolie's powerful fairy.

The teaser opens with Maleficent speaking about the dangers around them. "There are many who prey on the innocent," she says. "I'm sure your kind would agree."

It is revealed that Maleficent is addressing Queen Ingrith, who clearly isn't impressed with the bold statement. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you were making a threat," she replies.

The exchange certainly isn't over as Maleficent asks the Queen, "Well, do you?" At this point, Queen Ingrith is getting impatient. "Do I what?" she demands. "Know better?" Maleficent finishes.

There is little doubt that the tension between queen and fairy is set for an explosive climax considering that most of the footage shows a war in progress. However, Queen Ingrith isn't one to simply sit back and let the soldiers get all the action. At one point, she is shown wielding a crossbow and it looks like she's aiming for Maleficent.

The description for Maleficent 2 reads as follows:

"Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney's most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora. The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within."

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is scheduled for release on October 18.
