According to TVLine, NBC already unveiled its plan for the release of its fall shows two days before announcing the show’s renewal.

If the network wanted to make it a part of its fall season releases, the announcement might have come earlier than it was.

Sources also told the publication that Magnum P.I. Season 5 wouldn’t start filming until fall. As it usually started TV productions in July, the late shooting only meant that the release would also be delayed.

With that said, the new season might premiere in the midseason or January at the earliest.

What Will Happen in Magnum P.I. Season 5?

As the show might continue where it left off, it might not go far from what the first to fourth seasons showed.

However, now that it’s in the new network, there may be “more serialized components,” like a larger arc to be featured in Magnum P.I. Season 5, per Cartermatt. There may also be a traditional Big Bad as it’s easier to tell stories this time with only ten episodes per season, instead of 18 to 20 episodes.
