Love Is Blind Season 2 just aired its reunion episode, and the allegations made by Shake Chatterjee couldn’t be more surprising. Chatterjee is one of the contestants who joined the hit Netflix dating reality TV show in the hopes of finding his person based on deep feelings and not on their looks.
Shake Chatterjee Struggled To Make Strong Connections In Love Is Blind Season 2
Early on in the season, Chatterjee already showed signs that he could be quite superficial. After all, he candidly asked the women that he chatted with while inside the pod questions regarding their body type and size. But even if this was the case, it seemed as though he developed something special with fellow contestant Deepti.

However, it didn’t take long before Chatterjee’s old ways surfaced in Love Is Blind Season 2. At one point, he told one of the contestants that he couldn’t share intimate moments with Deepti because she reminded him of his aunt.
He also admitted to his fellow contestants that he wasn’t attracted to Deepti. So, it didn’t come as a surprise when their short-lived romance did not end up in marriage.

But it was the cast’s reunion and everything that Chatterjee said in the episode that left fans flabbergasted. After all, he claimed that Love Is Blind doesn’t work and suggested that love could be blurry for him.
He also got into arguments with Love Is Blind Season 2 hosts Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey and admitted to being attracted to the latter.
Chatterjee also weighed in on the issues of the other contestants even though he was not a part of their love stories. So, some of them became visibly upset with him during the reunion episode.
The Indian-American contestant also said that he was worried about how he would be edited after seeing how he was portrayed on the reality TV show.

Love Is Blind Season 2 Creator Understood Where Shake Chatterjee Was Coming From
While speaking with Variety, creator Chris Coelen said that they weren’t afraid of the things that Chatterjee said in the reunion. In fact, they gave everyone the opportunity to speak their minds in the episode.
“If we were afraid of that comment, we could have taken it out. But I’m not afraid of that comment, because, during this process, we want to give people the opportunity to say whatever they want to say. Every other member of the cast seems to think that he got a pretty good edit,” he said.
The creator also explained why they allowed the hosts to respond to Chatterjee even though it’s uncommon for them to do so on reality TV shows.
“We don’t tell them what to say or not to say, it’s their thing. Shake was jumping in from the word ‘go.’ Nobody tells him to do that. That’s what he decided to do, he wants to get his point of view across and I guess, good for him,” Coelen said.
At the end of the day, it seems that the people behind Love Is Blind Season 2 weren’t upset with Chatterjee’s comments. But the cast members made it clear that they don’t have any interest in being friends with Chatterjee unless he changes his ways.
