Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the theaters are slowly reopening the big screen with restricted capacity. Along with the reopening of theaters is the return of the Lord of The Rings Trilogy in its 4K digitally remastered version in IMAX.

The film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's book series, the Lord of The Rings Trilogy directed by Peter Jackson has been remastered giving due justice to the most-awarded film of the Academy Awards two decades after its release.

The epic tale of good against evil has been praised for years because of its special effects and its effective storytelling. For the first time, the film will be released on IMAX as announced by IMAX itself on their Twitter page.

The film would be available in select locations with The Fellowship of the Ring first to grace the biggest screen. It is slated for tomorrow, February 5, 2021, and tickets are already available on IMAX.

The Two Towers and The Return of The King will be released on February 12, 2021, following the IMAX premiere of The Fellowship of the Rings.

The classic trilogy has already been released in 4K for home video but of course, everything is still better on the big screen and with the IMAX experience, fans may be able to re-watch the epic story of the ring and the fellowship protecting it on the big screen once more.

This paves the way for an opportunity for the fans to revisit Middle-earth with the notable characters like Gollum and Gandalf and re-live their famous lines like "my precious" and "you shall not pass!"

Then again, you shall definitely not pass without observing the necessary protocols against COVID.

The theaters will have a limited seating capacity and movie-goers are expected to wear their masks and observe proper social distancing while in the theaters to fully enjoy the IMAX experience of The Lord of The Rings Trilogy.
