Lady And The Tramp Remake Gets Its First Adorable Set Of Photos, Introduces Cast

Disney's remake train just keeps on rolling, and now, after the commercially successful release of Jon Favreau's live-action remake of The Lion King, the Mickey Mouse House teases fans with the very first photos showing off the stars of its live-action version of the Lady and the Tramp.

First released to People magazine, the new images showcase the actors set to voice the different characters in the movie as well as the actual canines who're going to appear in the film. Unlike The Lion King which used impressive CGI, the Lady and The Tramp is going to be played by actual canines.

Voiced by Tropic Thunder star Justin Theroux, Tramp is going to be played by a rescue dog named Monte. Thor: Ragnarok actress Tessa Thompson is voicing the titular character Lady, a lovely little thing being played by a cocker spaniel named Rose.

But that's not all. There are a lot of big stars in the movie. Sam Elliot is voicing Trusty, the bloodhound. Janelle Monae is lending her voice to the singing dog Peg. Marvel's Doctor Strange star Benedict Wong is voicing Bull, a bulldog (obviously). Scottish actress Ashely Jensen is voicing the female version of Jock, the original film's Scottish terrier.

Disney really is pushing it with its remakes. Sure, this year's remakes like Aladdin and The Lion King have been huge commercial successes, but these movies haven't been doing so well with fans and with critics. Hopefully, the Lady and the Tramp does better.

Lady and the Tramp is set for release on November 12 on Disney+.
