Kingsman Prequel: First Poster Released for The King’s Man

Though we're still getting a return of main Kingsman stars Taron Egerton and Colin Firth, director Matthew Vaughn is taking one detour with the franchise with The King's Man. Fox has just released their first trailer for the movie, and now we have a teaser poster.

Here's a synopsis for the movie:

As a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King's Man.

We don't really know why Vaughn decided to take this detour with Kingsman, but he's still going to return to direct the third movie. If anything, The King's Man may have introduced a key element to the next Kingsman 3; then again, it could just be your standard franchise building trying to branch out to as many films as they can.

If anything, I think the movie definitely looks interesting, and it still has those comic book stakes with some great-looking period material. I don't know if it's just me, but it kind of feels like a spinoff to Wonder Woman, only this time, it's full of men.

The King's Man is directed by Matthew Vaughn and stars the likes of Ralph Fiennes, Harris Dickinson, Djimon Hounsou, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Matthew Goode, Gemma Arterton, Stanley Tucci, and Rhys Ifans.

The King's Man is set to come out Feb. 14, 2020.
