Queen Elizabeth’s eldest son is now styled King Charles III following her death. Her Majesty’s passing also means that Camilla Parker-Bowles’ husband is the new monarch. And the Order of Succession also moved with Prince William now serving as an heir to his father.
Queen Elizabeth Allegedly Considered Passing The Throne To Prince William, Not King Charles
Even before the queen passed away, there have been tons of speculations regarding King Charles and Prince William’s future roles. The Order of Succession states that the queen’s eldest son will serve as her successor, and this is Kind Charles.
However, royal fans and royal experts clamored for Prince William to leapfrog his father to the throne because he is more popular than him.
According to Radar Online, King Charles and Prince William battled each other for the top role three years before the queen died.
“Both of them believe they will be the one who Elizabeth will name king! And each of them has been pushing her to do so,” a source said in 2019.
There were also rumors that the queen was preparing to throw out the long-standing protocol with regard to the Order of Succession in favor of Prince William.
“She was disappointed in how he publicly bungled his marriage to first wife Diana and his marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles,” the source said.

Queen Elizabeth Has Been Sparking Health Concerns For Years Due To Her Bruise
At the time, some royal fans expressed their concern for Queen Elizabeth after she was spotted with a bruise on her hand while hosting a private reception at Buckingham Palace.
“The huge bruise was exposed as she posed for official photos with her guests, her hands clasped in front of her,” a source said.
The bruise was once again on display just days before she passed away when she met up with British Prime Minister Liz Truss.
Following the queen’s final outing, longevity expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin claimed that Her Majesty could be suffering from leukemia that’s why she has a huge bruise.
“In an elderly woman like her, bruising that's not the result of trauma points to the loss of clotting component and indicates a blood cancer, like leukemia or lymphoma,” Mirkin said.
Queen Elizabeth’s Cause Of Death Remains Unknown
As of writing, the queen’s cause of death has not yet been revealed. But there’s no indication that he battled leukemia when she was still alive.
There’s also no proof that the queen was planning to appoint Prince William as her successor instead of King Charles. The queen has been following royal rules and protocols all her life. And it’s unlikely for her to break it during her final moments.
