The Star Wars universe has been riding a huge wave of momentum post-sequel trilogy with Lucasfilm's expansion through streaming. Now, Lucasfilm's upcoming film slate aims to replicate the success of the franchise's recent offerings while removing the bitter taste Episodes VII, VIII, and IX left in the respective mouths of fans.

Twitter insider MyTimeToShineHello revealed some pretty intriguing details surrounding Kevin Feige's Star Wars project that left fans understandably shocked.

According to the reputable tipster, contrary to the most recent reports, the Marvel Studios chief's film, written by Michael Waldron has not been shelved. In fact, it is said to feature the live-action debut of Mara Jade, Luke Skywalker's love interest who has long been relegated to the non-canon side of the galaxy.

Instead of getting excited about the rumor, the scoop raised quite a number of eyebrows within the Star Wars community after the insider asked her followers if they were okay with the possibility of A-list celebrity Kim Kardashian being cast as Mara Jade.

Thankfully, it seems like the question was just posted to stir controversy on the Twitterverse... or is she? Check it out here:

If you may recall, Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy previously denied Feige's involvement in a galaxy far, far away. She told IGN at this year's Star Wars Celebration: "Kevin Feige's project was something announced in the press, or I suppose fandom, but there was nothing – nothing ever got developed."

Fans have long been clamoring to see Mara Jade reenter Star Wars canon but it's easier said than done. You see, the Skywalker Saga never mentioned the character's relationship with Luke let alone her existence and it would take some pretty good storytelling to insert her to the fold.

Now, as for the possibility of Kim K joining Star Wars in the future, I don't think it'll be the best move for the franchise because she's just as polarizing as the last few films Lucasfilm put out.
