Nearly two years have passed since fans last saw Killing Eve. After the long wait, though, the show is now approaching its official return.
Reports deem it “bittersweet” as Season 4 will be the final installment of the well-loved series. This likely explains the theme of the teasers and trailers, especially with the latest material, highlighting the finality of its course.
Cartermatt said that the new teaser for the fourth and final season is all about saying “goodbye” to the Sandra Oh-led title. It also noted that the material appears to have reminded its fans and followers about the show’s nearing end in a “dramatic way.”
About The RIP Killing Eve Trailer
On Sunday, Killing Eve dropped a new short teaser on social media. The 20-second clip features a “memorial wreath of sorts” alongside the iconic objects, which fans have witnessed throughout the series’ run on small screens.
It also uses “religious music” for its background, giving a more dramatic vibe to the material. Moreover, the teaser ends with a simple message saying, “RIP Killing Eve.”
The publication said that the teaser seemingly emphasizes the show’s upcoming end. But, fans should not take the teaser literally as it is reportedly unlikely for Eve or Villanelle to meet their demise in the series’ last installment.
Show's Teasers, Trailers For Final Season
This is not the first-ever Season 4 teaser material Killing Eve has provided to its fans. BBC America released the first trailer for the fourth installment on December 17, according to Collider.
The 30-second clip highlights all the “iconic objects” from the series as they go up in flames. These include Villanelle’s pink dress, the pink teddy bear, the piggy mask, and the postcards from across Europe.
Another half-minute trailer emerged on December 28, and it features a recap of all the “major moments” from the last three seasons of the series.
