Kate Middleton was allegedly the one behind Meghan Markle's decision to skip King Charles' coronation. A royal expert shared what Prince William's wife did to allegedly convince Prince Harry's spouse to remain in California instead of joining them at the historical event next month.

Kate Middleton Prevented Meghan Markle From Coming To King Charles' Coronation?

Former BBC journalist and investigative reporter Tom Bower sat down for an interview with GB News Thursday. He discussed the former actress' decision not to join her husband, Prince Harry, at King Charles' coronation.

Bower said during the interview:

"We must all be grateful that Kate, in the end, I think, prevented Meghan from coming and said she 'wouldn't have her there under any circumstances. And if she [Markle] did come, she'd have to sit at the back."

Bower also commented on Prince Harry's attendance at the event. According to the Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors author, his presence is still "constitutionally important" because if something happens to the Prince and Princess of Wales' whole family, Prince Harry is the next on the throne after King Charles.

Is Kate Middleton Really The One Who Stopped Meghan Markle From Attending The Coronation?

There are various speculations about Markle's decision to skip the coronation. Finding Freedom co-author, Omid Scobie claimed she decided to stay at their $14 million mansion in Montecito for Archie's birthday. He will turn 4 on the same day as his grandfather's coronation on May 6.

However, some felt that Kate Middleton wasn't to blame because they believed Markle wanted to avoid the British public.

Dan Wootton said on GB News that Markle didn't want to get booed. It can be remembered that she and Prince Harry were booed when they arrived and left St. Paul's Cathedral for the Queen's Thanksgiving service during her Platinum Jubilee celebration last year.

Wootton claimed:

"She doesn't want to be booed. The reality is, if she had attended the coronation, she would have been booed. The British public was going to boo her, and Meghan knew that, and she didn't want to put herself through that."

Royal expert Afua Hagan told Express that Markle's move is a "masterstroke" because she's not giving the public the opportunity to criticize or mock her.

"She has taken away the ability for people to criticise what she's wearing, what she's doing, or not getting in a car the right way. People won't be able to mock her."

Given the various speculations about Meghan Markle's absence, do you think Kate Middleton played a role in her decision to skip the coronation?
